Images are processed in your browser and never uploaded. This page sets out, precisely, the little that is collected and why.
Who this policy covers
This policy covers ImgPress, a static image-compression tool served from Cloudflare Pages at this domain. It explains what happens to information when you use the site — which, for the tool itself, is very little.
This policy was last updated on 2026-11-03. Material changes will be reflected in this date. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The images you compress
Images are never uploaded. The compressor runs entirely in your browser. Your file is read locally with the File API, decoded into an in-memory canvas, re-encoded, and returned to you as a download. No image data is transmitted to this site or to any third party at any point.
Because nothing is transmitted, nothing is stored, logged, cached on a server, or retained after you close the tab. There is no upload endpoint and no storage bucket behind this site. The security page shows how to verify this yourself in your browser's developer tools.
Information collected automatically
Like any website, serving a page requires the hosting provider to see the request. Cloudflare, as the host and CDN, processes standard technical data — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — to deliver the page and defend against abuse. Cloudflare's own privacy terms govern that processing.
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement. It is cookieless, does not fingerprint visitors, does not build cross-site profiles, and reports only aggregate figures such as page views, referrers and Core Web Vitals. No individual visitor is identified.
There is no account system, no newsletter, no comment form and no contact form on this site. The only way to send information deliberately is to email, and then only what you choose to write.
Cookies
The compressor itself sets no cookies and writes to localStorage only to remember two interface preferences: your colour theme and your output format / maximum-dimension settings. These values never leave your browser and contain nothing identifying.
Advertising, where present, may set cookies through the ad provider. Those cookies are controlled by the provider, not by this site, and are subject to that provider's policies and consent mechanisms.
Advertising
Some pages may display third-party advertising. Ad providers may use cookies or similar technologies to measure or personalise ads, in the ordinary way that advertising on the web works. This site does not pass your images, your files or any account information to advertisers — there is no account and no file access for them to receive.
You can limit ad tracking through your browser settings, an advertising blocker, or the industry opt-out pages operated by the Digital Advertising Alliance (aboutads.info) and the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org). Blocking ads does not affect any feature of the compressor.
Third parties
Cloudflare — hosting, CDN and cookieless analytics. Sees standard request metadata in order to serve the page.
Advertising partners — where ads are shown, they receive the ordinary signals involved in serving an ad, and may set cookies as described above.
No other third party receives data from this site. There are no social plugins, no embedded videos, no tag managers and no third-party JavaScript bundles beyond the analytics and ad scripts described here.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Because this site holds no account records and no uploaded files, in practice there is usually no stored personal data to act on.
Where a request concerns data held by Cloudflare or an ad provider, it may need to be directed to that provider. If you are unsure who holds what, ask and you will get a straight answer about what this site does and does not have.
Children
This site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information through the tool at all.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date. There is no mailing list to notify, so the page itself is the notice.

Do you store the images I compress?
No. Images are processed in your browser and never transmitted. There is no server capability to receive a file, so there is nothing that could be stored.
Do you sell or share personal data?
No. There is no account system, so there is no profile to sell. The only data that exists is aggregate traffic measurement and whatever ad networks handle on their own.
How do I opt out of analytics or ads?
Analytics is cookieless and collects no personal data, so there is nothing to opt out of. For ads, use your browser's tracker blocking, an ad blocker, or the industry opt-out pages linked below. The compressor keeps working either way.
What if I am in the EU or UK?
The compressor sets no cookies and processes images only on your device, so using the tool itself involves no personal data processing by this site. Advertising cookies, where they apply, are controlled by the ad provider's consent mechanism.
