    Compress Image to 200KB

Marketplaces cap product images and slow pages lose sales. 200KB keeps product shots sharp and pages fast.

Marketplaces and page-speed budgets land on similar numbers: a product image around 200KB is detailed enough for a zoomed view and light enough that a grid of twenty still loads quickly on mobile.

This page targets 200KB and supports batch work. Drop a folder of product shots, and each image is encoded to the largest quality that stays under the cap, so you do not have to pick a compromise quality for the whole set.

    How it works

    1. Drop your image. Drag a JPG, PNG or WebP onto the drop zone, or click to choose a file.
    2. Keep the target. The page is pre-set to the size you need; change it if the portal asks for something else.
    3. Download and upload. The tool shows the new size next to the original. Download the file and upload it to the portal.

    Why the 200KB limit exists

The number comes from e-commerce and product listings. Upload forms set a hard ceiling to keep their storage and bandwidth predictable, and once a limit is written into a form it tends to survive for years. Knowing that, the useful move is not to fight the limit but to hit it while keeping the image readable — which is exactly what a target-size encoder does.

    Questions

    Why 200KB for product images?

It balances detail and load time. Above ~250KB per image, mobile grids start missing Core Web Vitals thresholds, which hurts both ranking and conversion.

Can I process a whole folder?

Yes. Multi-select or drag several files; each is compressed independently and you can download them all at once.

    Does it resize large photos?

Only if needed. If the source is 6000px wide and cannot reach 200KB at acceptable quality, the tool steps the resolution down until it fits.

    Are my product photos uploaded?

No. Processing is local to the browser tab, which also means you can use it for unreleased products without worrying about leaks.
